Yamaha rx-v2095 troubleshooting?

Help! I'm having a party in a couple days and am having trouble setting up my stereo system.I have a Yamaha Rx-v2095 Receiver that, when the power button is pressed, turns on for a second then shuts off automatically. What could be wrong??
