Would my computer be any less protected if I install...

...2007 antivirus right now, rather than 2008? I found 2007 antivirus software (at a reasonable price), but I know 2008 software is out and being installed on many computers. Would my computer still be protected in 2008 if I install the 2007 now?It's McAfee Internet Security Suite
