i've got both... cant say there is a huge amount of difference, i only got vista cuz i wanted to be one of the first ppl to get it Big Grin ! the media centre is better i guess... it looks a bit different, apart from that not a whole lot of difference between the two, and when u get vista u then have to go out and buy all the compatible hardware for stuff like webcams and mic's. a lot of things u buy u then have to be very careful to see if its actually vista compatible, cuz there isnt a huge range at the mo... which sucks... Sad !

Vista is full of problems of compatibility to old hardware (printers, scanners etc) and software. Most hardware will need you to download updated drivers which is time consuming and doesn't always work.I would stick with XP until Vista sorts out all its bugs.Google it and yuo will see thousands of pages listing Vista complaints.

It`s like aything else that is new, it takes time to sort out the teething problems.I`ll be sticking with XP for a while yet.

from what I've heard Xp is better, Vista is still in it's infancy and there are still alot of t's to cross and i's to dot with it, I'm quite happy with xp for now.

I just got a new laptop with Vista, now my scanner won't work and Nero won't work. Other than that I haven't had any problems.
