...Startup.? I started a Windows XP install on an external harddrive through my laptop. But stopped it after it copied all the files (because I decided not to finish). And now the Windows XP Setup Partition boots from startup. How would you go about deleting this partition? The partition is not a known partition, asin it does not show in disk management or diskpart, etc.Any opinions / suggestions / answers would be much appreciated.Thank you.- The Windows XP CD did not help - it didn't see the partition, only the one that already existed. And I'm definitly not going to format that..- That article had little useful information for my problem, sorry. Although it did touch on the solution slightly. My solution after actually thinking.. edit the boot.ini file.. how simple. Thanks for your replies though, and apologies.Source: Tired, Hungry and Lazy Computer Technician.
