Windows Vista and Maplestory?

I've just got a laptop, and downloaded maplestory . I keep lagging for some reason and its pretty slow, Is it because I'm using Windows Vista or is it because my internet connection is too slow? Heres the laptop I bought - http://www.bestbuy.ca/catalog/proddetail...
