Will this motherboard be okay for midrange gaming?

I have an ASUS m2n-mx se MicroATX motherboard, and I plan to make a $600 budget gaming rig. I just read some reviews, and they're mixed, about 30 bad, and 70 good. My question will it do it's job, or should I make a budget system outta this?Specs:AM2 SocketSupports DDR2 PC2-6400 800mhzNvidia nforce 430/61002 SATA II ports1 IDE port1 PCI-E x162 PCI2GB of RAM Max.You don't even need 2 gigs right now, and I got this at a good price so I bought it.
