Which motherboard?

Good Afternoon all...I am busy organising parts for an upgrade as listed......Pentium Core2 Duo 2.2 gig E4500 Asus Nvidia 8600GT ..512 mb Graphics Seagate SATA 250 Gig HDD.. 2 x 1 Gig ddr2 667 Ram.. I am unsure of whether to use an ASUS P5L-VM or a P5K motherboard, both of which support IEEE1394..Does anyone have an opinion on this..I have studied the specs but dont know which way to jump..I am not as computer savvy as a lot of you people..Thanks
