Amplifier keeps blowing fuses. When fuses are replaced, amp works fine until the subs hit then they blow and amp goes into protection mode. This makes me think the amp and subs are ok. I want to believe it is a wiring setup problem but I have had the same wiring setup for 6 months with no problem. I have not calibrated my gain but I have it turned to half power. I blew the fuses 3 months ago cuz i had my gain cranked. But ever since then I turned it down significantly. Can anyone help me?My system in a nutshell.... 5-gauge wire running from battery to a 100-ampere fuse, then 5-gauge running from fuse to 5.0 farad capacitor, then a 9-gauge wire running from capacitor to amp (Audiobahn A8000V 800W RMS at 2OHM 30A x 2), then a 9-gauge ground running from amp to chassis, then a 9-gauge ground running from capacitor to chassis.
