Wanted to know the compatibility of DDR for

P4 Mercury motherboard? I have P4 Intell chip with Mercury 845 motherboard,with 1.6GHz.AT compatibility. Assembled Pc, I want to change 256 SDR Ram to 256 DDR ram. I wanted to know that will it run faster with DDR for the given clock speed(1.60GHz).
