Never heard of Hyderabad. Unix/Linux is easy. I'm using SuSE Linux by Novell software to send this message. Unix branched off into BSD Unix and many many Linux distributions. Since most are free, just download one! Check out these links:http://www.pcbsd.com --------> variation of the FreeBSD Unix, easy to learn on, uses minimal system resources [runs on slow computers]http://www.opensuse.org -----> by Novell Software, variation of the Red Hat Linux with very easy hardware configuration, uses a lot of system resourceshttp://www.knoppix.org ------> Linux Live CD meaning no install required, just put the CD in the tray and boot the computer. Based on Debian Linux, which I am not a big fan of.Final question: What are you trying to do in Unix? Server, programming, scripting, safer internet browsing? The list goes on. Choosing the distribution is the hard part, choosing the window system during the install is the next. After that it's like transitioning from MS to Mac, MS to Linux is similar. Windows to KDE, Gnome, or Xfce interface, or DOS to Bash and Batch to Shell. My suggestion is play with a live CD for a little bit to get the feel, then select and install a version on a computer at home, preferably a test computer but it could be installed after a repartition of your hard drive to even dual-boot along side Windows. Who knows, eventually you may never go back to MS anyways.
