troubleshooting with with the katana 2?

my katana 2 isnt new, but my friend was playing with it and doesnt know what happened. after she gave it back to me i recieve a call and my mom could hear me but i couldnt hear her. this is still happening even when i place a call and i have no dial tone. help!!
