What is the best sound card to buy between $50 and $100 that will be hooked up to a yamaha stereo receiver and played through JBL Northridge speaker system.

I agree with the soundblaster or Audigy series. So you definitely want a sound card made by Creative. If you could splurge or find a deal the new X-Fi sound cards by Creative are amazing and worth the money, but most of them are out of your price range.

An X-FI Xtreme Music card is one of the best out there.Buy.com is selling it for $111.96 with free shipping. Also they have a $30 mail-in-rebate. Sooooo, you can get this card for $81.96 after mail-in-rebate. Not too shabby.Rebate is between 7-24-06 and 7-31-06 order dates.
