SOund Card that requires Win XP SP2 and...

...my plain WIn XP? I bought a sound card recently. I install it and it runs just fine. But once i dial my dial up. My comp crashes usually saying the HSF driver that messed up. And i do believe that HSF has to deal with modems. SO i don't know. I wouldn't think that my OS would make much difference. Its a 3 year old computer FYI of why it don't have XP SP2. I wondering if i have to disable my mobo sound first. or what... Any help please? And the sound card is Sound Blaster Audigy SE...
