Simple? I am trying to get my friend and me

online using a cable box to Lan Hub and he can't get on but i can Even if i unplug the cable that I know that works and plug it into his he still cannot get on line. Can someone tell me how to fix his or my problem? ThanksTurned off Windows firewall and everything and still no luck
