For those of you who have asked how difficult it is to set-up a Web Site, I thought I'd provide a step-by-step guide and the approximate time involved with each one to help you get started.

Use G*ogle.com to locate free Web Authoring software--5 minutes

Download some free Web Authoring software--20 minutes

Think what you want to put on your Web Site--6 weeks

Download the updated Web Authoring software--20 minutes

Decide to steal some images and awards to put on your site--1 minute

Visit sites to find images and awards, save the ones you like--4 days

Run setup of your Web Authoring software--3 minutes

Download Web Authoring software again -- your copy won't work--25 minutes

Run setup again, load the software--2 minutes

Delete all the FAQ and Read-Me files to avoid clutter--15 seconds

Click all the toolbar buttons to see what they do--1 hour and 15 minutes

Put everything back the way it should be after you screwed it up--2 weeks, 1 day

Delete all of your Web Pages--5 seconds

View the source of other sites, copy and save the ones you like--7 hours

Edit your stolen material, making some changes here and there--4 hours

Preview your new Web Pages using the Web Authoring software--1 minute

Don't click on any toolbars at all for any reason--0 seconds

Try to line-up all your images--6 hours

Remove half of the images--20 seconds

Re-Set the text & background colors to reduce eye strain--4 hours

Download a counter from your ISP--4 minutes

Try to figure out why your counter won't work--3 hours

Select a GuestBook--1 hour

Increase "White Space" on your Pages using blank lines--8 hours

Fine-tune the text, check spelling--40 minutes

Accidentally delete all of your Web Site Pages--1 second

Recreate your Web Pages by revisiting the sites you stole from--8 days

Make a Back-up of your Web Pages--7 minutes

Try to figure out how to load your Web Pages onto your ISP--3 weeks

Call your ISP support to learn about FTP--2 hours and 30 minutes

Download FTP software--10 minutes

Call your ISP support team again--35 minutes

Upload your Web Pages onto your ISP's server--10 minutes

Repeat any and all of the previous steps as necessary--Remainder of your Lifetime
