1. deep into the power options menus, i found that the hard disk turns off after 10 minutes of battery use (when the computer isn't being used) and after 20 minutes when its on the power cord. i just got vista and a new computer and on my old xp laptop i had it never shutdown disks b/c i figured the starting and stopping would be negative. are these settings appropriate?2. when you start your computer and see the quick launch icons theres one for show desktop and one to do with windows flipping...i didn't know the one was for windows flipping and just deleted them both, i realized that the windows key and tab also provide the windows flipping feature but was wondering if i could get back that icon (like if theres another location on the computer of where it would be). 3. antivirus reccomendations that wont use up too much cpu and work well with vista?does microsoft acctually expect a lot of people to hop on the vista bandwagon if they already said that in about 2.5 years they want to release a new OS????
