I have a 40 gig PS3 that I cannot get online. I have DSL internet through a cable modem and router. I have tried both manual and automatic setups, but both times it just says "could not find IP address", even when enterering the IP manually. And when I test the internet connection, the router lights up, but the signal is just not getting to my machine.I have tried switching out ethernet cables, bypassing the router alltogether and hooking up directly to the modem, and with no luck.Is there something else i need to do? How do i find the DNS server #s? Or should i just try taking this back as a defective machine? I've only had it for 3 days.Also Wi-Fi is way to expesinsive in Alaska in my opinion.Thanks in advance to anyone who can help me.
