You can play pretty much any type of video file you want to on your pocketpc - with the right software. Out for the box you will only have Windows Media Player - and that pretty much only plays .WMV files - the kind of thing Windows Movie Maker outputs. If you want to play MPEG or AVI files - you'll need a program like TCPMP - there's a link below for it - it's free and great. It's recently become a commercial product called COREPLAYER - which is also very good. There's lots of players around - have a search on TUCOWS or POCKETPCFREEWARES for video players.Also - if you want to install programs to your pocketpc - you'll need to copy the .cab files onto your SD card - when you go to install them you may get an option as to where to install them. I personally install everything using activesync - I can then choose to install it on my SD card - leaving much more room in my PDA. Also - you'll find most SD card are MUCH faster than the internal flash memory of your pocketpc - and the programs run faster because of this.
