recognizes 40GB hard drive, but not XP disc.? The laptop is a Dell Latitude cpi. The hard drive crashed about 6 years ago and I just left it sitting in my office in it's case until recently. It does boot to BIOS and I just replaced the hard drive with a refurbished 40GB. Now, the BIOS recognizes that there is a hard drive, but when I try to load XP nothing happens. It's as if the computer isn't recognizing the CD ROM drive. When attempting to boot up the computer says something like.. press F1 to begin set up process, press F2 for BIOS. Pressing F1 generates that same message over and over w/no XP recognition. How can I get the computer to find the XP disc? Thanks so much in advance for your answers!
