fireplace to an ethanol burner.? I'm trying to duplicate my fireplace to one seen on Home & Garden. The one I saw on TV is natural gas. My fireplace is natural and cannot be converted to gas. Would like to purchase an ethanol burner and glass as offered thru the American fireglass website. Would like to have a back drop of stainless steel or glass for the glass crystals to reflect. Is this possible? The colored glasses are safe up to 1200 degrees. What would be safer and cooler for a backdrop and to set the burner on stainless steel, glass or marble?glass, stainless steel or possibly marble. I cannot afford purchase the set-up as offered thru various websites as the cost is $6500. Does anyone have any suggestions as to how I can duplicate the project for under $1500? Also, I am not handy at all, can anyone steer me to a stainless steel company or glass company in Michigan who might sell to individuals?
