to erase HD but cant!!!? Question Details:So I have purchased a very old Thinkpad 760eld.It came with Windows 98 installed. It boots fine yet mid-way through the 98 image the system crashes and the laptop completely turns off.Even though it would be nice to be able to boot to Windows, I really do not care. I'll be installing linux eventually.I have put in the linux iso cd yet it still boots to windows, I have burned a copy of activekilldisk to erase the hd, yet again it still boots to windows. I have checked the bios, the boot order is correct. It indeed reads the cd immediately as the computer is turned on. I have hit every button to try to get it to run the cd. Yet it always boots to windows.This does not have floppy, only cd-rom. Can someone help me?! I want to get rid of this damn Windows.Thanks,BobWithin the bios the boot sequence is grayed-out... It shows the cd-rom first though.
