Is the Nvidia 7950 GX2 better than the Nvidia

Geforce 8500 GT? The reason im asking is because, My PC is vista home with the GT card with duo processer.My Work PC in an XP pro with the GX2 with duo processer. with a higher GHz.Why is it that a game(Black & White 2) i tried on both works much better on the XP pro.Any fixes for this? or what should i upgrade?
