I have 2 computers at home, one connected directly to a router and the other connected to the router via a LAN. The one connected via the LAN is failing to connect to the internet. I'm a total newbie at this stuff-i know i have to configure something-what exactly? A step by step guide would be great!both computers are PCs. They both have network cards and have been networked before. The problem is that switched them. The one that used to be connected to the router directly is now connected to it via a network cable (LAN) and the one that used to be connected to through a LAN is now connected directly to the router. The latter one works fine. The one connected to the LAN recognises the connection, but there is no data being received.
