Need help to turn-off the close caption on...

...SpectronIQ PD-1100 DVD player? Suddenly out of nowhere my SpectonIQ PD-1100 displays close caption. I can't turn it off. The manual doesn't have anything on close caption. Tried almost everything to no avail. Please help. Thanks!
