My laptop crashed during installation..?

"Windows root dll bla bla hall is corrupt or missing"it begings.I tried 2 reinstall xp pro and it suddenly shut itself down at the last minute.I switched it on and it shows nothing but the same black/dark screen.All i know is that the fan is working.Its just annoying as I cant even see anything..Somebody help me,PLEASE!
