...due to family abuse in early years how to be more supportive for him? My husband comes from an abusive family, until his Great grandmother stepped in and raised him to manhood!He's a wonderful man with plenty to offer and give and I love him for that. He's got Ph.D's and is successful but when he's pushed the wrong way he closes down and holds back his anger.I know when he feels like this is because he will bye a self help book or listen to his self help tapes, and this does help him out but I think he needs to confront these people and tell them off if necessary and why he feels the way he does and not try and always think his way through it!I have never seen it but he informs me he has a temper and he need to always keep his cool or theirs blood on the table, I've never seen that side of him in 14 years and theirs been plenty of opportunity for him to lose it.Is their a way to show him he's got a partner, as well as a lover a wife, best friend in a way thats healthy beside always asking him whats wrong?Just want us to be happy!He's younger then I am by almost 6 years, and has been my most stanch supporter in our marriage how do help him?This is his 1st marriage my 2nd, and other then this issue it's been a real good one and want it to stay that way!
