my computer has windows 2000 on it and every

few months a blue screen pops up on the screen when i turn the? computer on and i cant do anything with my computer does anyone know how to get passed it so i can fix it because it says turn off the comp and start it back up and if it continues delete any recent downloads or viruses on the comp but i cant get into the comp to access the virus scan or add or remove programs
