My Canon D646U scanner wont work with Windows...

...Vista Premium? I cannot get my canon scanner to work with Vista. I keep getting the message that the Twain cant be found. I have installed the most recent driver. Installed, uninstalled and reinstalled the scanner. What else should I do/try?thanks
