motherboard?

my old comp is crap and im looking for a new motherboard with a really high processor rate .. can i just buy anyone and fix all my other stuf on it with no probs like my dvd and key board and mouse and monitor and everything like that includeing my harddrives , or would i have to get the program disc for it all ..... thanks i u can help and if u can let me no were i can get a motherboard bundle from ?
