Linux\Unix software Installion?

I was wondering how do you install new software to a Linux\Unix operating system if you don't have an internet connection

Some Linux magazines carry CDs containing Linux distributions (like Ubuntu). Can't remember the names of the magazines, but they're easy to find at many book stores.I take it you're trying to install Linux? Or do you mean you want to load something into a Linux/Unix system?
