Just downloaded iTunes 7.5 & now my iPod won't...

...appear in iTunes? Can't download songs, help!? I just downloaded it, plugged in my iPod and it won't show up anywhere on iTunes now at all. =(i don't know what to do, help?hold on...now it's saying i need to re install itunes because it didn't properly install.. wonder why it didn't properly install..?
