Ive bought a new laptop and my windows vista...

...product number isnt being accepted.? When trying to get onto windows vista, im asked to put in a 25 digit product number, and ive found the number on the back of the laptop, but when i type it in it comes up with invalid - wrong number :S why is this. What can i do? Please help!
