Is it possible or damn near impossible to get...

...an 1040 on the gre exam? I need to get a high score due to having a low gpa.

sure is possible... you really have to dedicate yourself into studying and make sure to take all the practice exams, and it has to be every day!!! good luck =)

Unless things have changed in the last few years, a GRE score is out of 800. The test covers 3 areas, and each is scored separately from the others. (They're not averaged or combined for a cumulative score.)So, unless the test and scoring procedures have changed drastically in the last few years, a GRE score of 1040 is beyond impossible.
