Ummm, NO, hence the name CD player or DVD player. You can play CD's in a DVD player, but you cannot play DVD's in a CD's player.

It is possible to burn mp3s to a DVD, but I doubt if a CD player will play them. However, most DVD players will also play MP3s ( as long as the DVD is a once-only disc - not DVD-RW - and the disc has been finalised).
