Is it okay to have two internet connection

in one computer? My first internet connection is from my phone company who provided me with a modem that connects to my computer via USB port. I have another active connection provided by my cellphone company connected to my LAN port. Will it confuse my computer if I use them both? Is it okay to use them at the same time?
