I'm trying to sync my external hard drive to my Mac OSX

can anyone help me? I have all my music and photos etc... on this hard drive I just wanna be able to sync it without anything erasing.Computer's a iMac G5 OSX 10.4.11I have a G-drive Firewire 400I tried the setting's on itunes & iphoto and I can't seem to find anything that will let me sync it.
