If I uninstall Acer Empowering Technology

If I uninstall Acer Empowering Technology

and then try to restore from "F10" or setup method, will it work? Is there anyway to bypass or reset the Acer Empowering Technology password. I can't believe they would design a system that completely locks the owner out and is unresolvable. Appreciate any and all help. Thanks
