If I have a laptop and no other computer, can I get...

...wireless internet? I can get internet on it, but im using my neighbours network which gets shut off sometimes. Is there anyway that I can subscribe to my own wireless internet if I am in the middle of nowhere, and don't have a fixed computer to use as a router?
