The question you should be asking is what do you want to do with your computer. Switch to Firefox and stuff in a bunch of plugins, web browsers are the way of the future not operating systems. That said I have a XP box, a xp laptop, a mac box, and a linux server. Use em all for different things. So why ask which use em all for what they are good at. Me I'll wait as long as possible before moving to Vista the first msft drop after this long wait will likely be a huge disaster IMHO.

When the time comes, it will be easier to move to Vista. Also, you will be more familiar with the interface and setup.Vista sounds promising, however, there is no way to tell exactly how it will function. Ask this question again after Vista's RTM.
