I bougtht iphone, but cant connect, What...

...software do i need if i have mac os x 10.3? I bought an Iphone, But i cant connect it in my computer because I dont have mac osx 10.4. i have a laptop g4 with mac os x 10.3. DO i have install 10.4 and buy the whole package or can i just buy another software? a
