How to use/mod Windows XP Media Centre...

...remote control as mouse/pointer ? I want to know how to set/modify the remote control for windows XP media centre as a mouse/pointer. Is there any possible way to do that? The remote control comes along with my pc but it only works with Media Centre and Window Media Player. Thank in advance.
