How to search Documents files in Windows Vista?

I upgraded to Vista Home Premium recently, and I turned off a couple of Windows features in order to speed up my computer. A lot of them had to do with the new Indexing feature. However, before, when I search for a MS Word document I made from the Start Menu Search Bar, it shows up immediately. Now, when I type the name of a MS Word document (or Excel, Powerpoint, etc.) it takes 15 seconds to show up. Is there a way to make it so that Windows searches the Documents folder?
