computer after reformatting the whole machine? Ok, I'm not a computer expert but I'm not that a noob either. I reinstalled Windows XP SP2(What is SP2 anyway...)into my computer but the sounds systems are not present. Whenever there is a notifying sound an incessant beep comes out from the core of the CPU. I checked the control panel and it says "No Audio" and "No Sound Recording" systems available. That's much of a bummer since I'm an avid listener to music and Skype my sister occasionally.What can I do? I know simply plugging both the speakers and the microphones to the CPU won't be enough. Is there a way to install them in or let them detect the devices?I also have to add that my windows media player won't play ANY file at all, including music files and video ones, everything!Ok, the videos work, but no sounds at all! The audio files show error messages and cannot play. Gee.......Thanks, but it's not working...I'll just have to try more...
