i prefer windows xp as vista is new.before switching onto vista i would definetly wait for a new service pack.moreover vista is prone to viruses, trojans and spywares.CHOOSE CAREFULLY

the majority of people are whining. but with a system that will handle it, its awesome! I have not had a problem, its much more advanced than xp. But so many people are creatures of habit and do not like change or they are installing it on systems that are not geared for it!

Well I bought a new Acer laptop with it preinstalled, so I don't have any driver issues. And I am quite happy with vista, I love Aero, and alot of the changes to the sound manager and other configuration tools in the control panel. And so far it has to be my favorite windows version, though I still like 2000 since you dont have to activate it Anyway it isn't with out its problems I have some issues with some Computer games, and some of my legacy sound apps... But as I recall when XP was launched it had similar problems with drivers and programs... So as it stands right now XP is more stable, but Vista will catch up and pass it up since Microsoft wont keep developing for XP... (like DX10)
