how do you copy contacts w/details from handset to your
sim card for download to replacement phone? T-mobile is carrier and problem is I have 100 contacts with details on handset but only 46 contacts on sim card (name & number only). It's too many details to write down and rekey and with technology being what it is today, why should I have to!

What is the Handset? I don't quite understand your question. You want to move numbers from a previous cell phone to your new sim card? I would see if the Tmobile dealer can help you out. They usually have ways of transferring data. Or another option is to buy a USB cable for your particular handset, get the appropriate software to download the numbers to your computer. Then get another cable to hook up your new cell phone with sim card and upload the numbers. This will take long and you will have to spend some money, $20/cable and $20 for the software, so I would just go to the T mobile dealer and ask for help.

Unfortunately, you cant store additional info for 1 person on a simcard, because a sim card can only store 1 number per contact name. The best way to transfer multiple fields per contact would be to use bluetooth or infrared to transfer to another phone. Smartphones have a "Sync" or "Data Transfer" option to transfer contacts to other phones.Fortunately, there is a FREE website where you can sync your contacts from your phone to their site, and then sync your contacts from their site to your new phone. its http://www.mobical.com You need to have a GPRS service to sync your contacts to their site. This might be the easiest way to go, instead of manually inputing your contacts to your new phone.

You replace the Sim card into new phone. All contacts should be carried over.
