um your ipod is a 4th gen it cant put it on it you need a new ipod a 5th gen that has colors

When you run the installer (Linux) pick the third option, boot loader, then install. It will completely erase your ipod, so you will have to hook it back to itunes to reload the music. then you just download the rockbox version(latest) and copy the two files to your ipod hard drive.Personally, its not worth the effort. I had a successful first run, but rockbox got messed up somehow and I had to reformat, reinstall Linux, rockbox, then when I tried to put my music back on with itunes, my pod failed. I have a 5g 60 gb ipod.
