how can I convince my mom to let me have an...

...iPhone? i have a 2 year plan on my phone, so i'm getting a new one in february. i want an iphone, but everyone in my family has verizon, and the iphone is at&t. i read up on the plan, and it's pretty good, plus since i always lose my ipod, if i lose the iphone, i can just call it. any ideas to help me convince my parents?
