We are planning to make a home based web server. We will deploy Apache 2.2 as the program to allow us to serve pages and ZoneAlarm to protect the computer. Is it possible that the server be hacked? The server will be Windows based. We need to know if a possible hack can occur and how they do it and how to prevent it. We will be very pleased to get answers. Soon after deploying we will add additional security features, but we don't want to waste time getting additional security which will not be used immediately. We will be having 2 upgrades, first will be the one after deployment the next will be for the long term. So for deployment, will ZoneAlarm and anti-malware software be enough so that the server will not get hacked before we reach the long term upgrade approximately february 2008? or at least for the first upgrade on january?
