I have a ps3 and just bought a new plasma tv with 2 hdmi inputs, optical, component, vga. I bought the hdmi cable to run from the ps3 to the tv but i have some older vga(red/white cable) speakers that i cant get to work with the ps3 sound. I went and changed the ps3 settings for hdmi video only and sound from seperate device but now i get no sound. I get sound to my tv when i plug the vga external speakers into my cable box but i cant use them on the ps3.Is it cuz they are too old for the ps3 to recognize? They sound good even though they are ony 2 speakers and a sub. Is it cuz they arent 5 or 7 channel? Let me know. PS I dont have an amp the speakers just run into the tv.I mentioned already that I did change the audio sttings on the ps3 to match the spakers...no luck
