Having problems with my iphone?

I'm having problems with my iPhone. My messages cant be read. Everytime I click my message icon it will not open,it will just go back to the menu. does anyone know what's wrong with it? Anyone having same problem as mine? I tried restoring everything but still the same.. Help!
